About

This group provides interactive curriculum and discussion to help participants understand patterns of substance use, decision-making, and pathways toward healthier choices. This will be led by two licensed therapists with behavioral and SUD clinical and training expertise. This is designed for individuals who need to complete 6, 12, or 36 hours of substance use education for:


  • Court or legal requirements

  • Employment or HR mandates

  • Driving Under the Influence (DUI)

  • School/university policies

  • Personal insight or prevention


Learning Objectives

  1. Understand the effects of alcohol and drugs on the developing brain and body

  2. Recognize the legal and social consequences of substance use

  3. Identify personal values and life goals that guide decision-making

  4. Develop refusal skills and strategies for resisting peer/dating pressure

  5. Practice healthy coping and communication skills for strong relationships

  6. Create a personal plan for staying substance-free and building a positive future

Optional Next Step: Ongoing Support Group

After participants complete the education hours and receive the completion certificate, they may choose to continue with our weekly drop-in support group focused on relapse prevention, motivation, and building a healthier lifestyle.
